Our School Council
Our School Council plays a very special and important role in our school. Each term two pupils from each class are elected by their class mates to represent their views at School Council meetings which are led by Mrs Walsh on Wednesday lunchtimes. The elected class representatives report back to their class and gather feedback for the next meeting.
The School Council is one way that we give our children a voice and it helps them to understand that their opinions count and wherever possible will be acted upon. It enables children and staff to work in partnership towards shared goals and provides a basis for active learning of important life skills, such as speaking and listening skills, teamwork, emotional literacy, problem-solving, moral reasoning, self-esteem and self confidence.
