Here you can find out about the amazing things that have been happening in school this half term.  
 
Autumn 2 2024
Week 1 - We celebrated Diwali the Sikh and Hindu Festival of Light.  The children came to school in traditional dress or bright coloured clothes and learnt about Rama and Sita and how this important time of year is celebrated.
Week 2 - Year 2 led a Remembrance Assembly and went on a trip to St John's Museum.  We had a special visit from a therapy dog called Lily and on Friday we wore something spotty for Children in Need.
Week 3 - All the children enjoyed the snow, putting on wellies and having fun with their friends! We have started practising for our upcoming Christmas performances. 
Week 4 - the highlight of this week has been Grandparents Glitter Day. All the children enjoyed making Christmas cards, calendars and decorations with their Grandparent or a borrowed one! 
Week 5 - this was a very special week for reception as they went to the Warwick Arts Centre to see the Smeds and the Smoos. 
Week 6 - Christmas has truly started at Telford Infants  - year 1 performed 'A little bird told me' and it was magical!   Year 2 sang beautiful carols in the church.  On Wednesday we had a lovely Christmas dinner.   Year 1 also took part in some tree planting on the back field which was the 2nd stage of our field development. Year 2 enjoyed a special Victorian day. 
Week 7 - Reception performed their nativities with confidence and smiles.                
 
Autumn 1 2024
Week 1 - we welcomed our year 2 and year 1 children back to school.
Week 2 - we welcomed our new reception children into school.
Week 3 - we welcomed William Smith, Vicar of Lillington and Old Milverton into school for an assembly.  Reception started their topic Super Me and made super hero capes.  Year 1 started learning about Terrific Trees and enjoyed exploring the Wishing Wood.  Year 2 have been reading The Day the Crayons  Quit and producing some fantastic letters from the crayons. 
Week 4 - We celebrated our amazing teaching assistants who show such care, support and dedication to the children each and every day. Your children made them some wonderful cards. 
Week 5 - This week we have celebrated National Poetry Day.  All the children have been busy reading and listening to poems, performing poems and writing poems.  Spoz the poet came to school to inspire our young poets and share his love of poetry.   The children enjoyed his fun poems and sense of humour, and together wrote songs and poems with him. 
Week 6 - We celebrated national library week and continued to introduce the children to our new school library, ensuring they understand the importance of looking after the books and returning them to the correct shelves.  
Week 7 - This week is all about our Harvest Celebrations at St Mary Magdalene's Church and at school. This is an important community event which helps the children experience and learn about caring for others.
Week 8 - parents came into school to speak with class teachers to find out how their children are progressing.  Reception investigated pumpkins and even exploded them in science!
