Friday 28th March Weekly Update
28th March 2025
Head's message
This week all the children took part in tennis lessons provided by Pillinger Tennis and Leamington Tennis and Squash Club, who also provide an after school club on Mondays. The children were lucky in that the sun shone and this was able to take place on the front playground. Lots of fun was had by all.
Today the PTA are helping the children prepare their gifts for the Superwoman in their life, thank you to the PTA for providing this lovely experience and to you for supporting it. I hope all the superwomen out there have a lovely day on Sunday.
Learning Reviews
Thank you to everyone who has booked their learning review slot. We only have a handful of families left to do this; class teachers will be giving you a gentle reminder to do this asap.
Easter Service
Please let your child’s class teacher know if you are able to support walking the children to church on Thursday 10th April – year 1 and reception only – for the Easter service. Some classes are still short on support.
Healthy start
We have been asked to promote Healthy Start to you. If you’re more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under 4, you may be entitled to get help to buy healthy food and milk. If you’re eligible, you’ll be sent a Healthy Start card with money on it that you can use in some UK shops. We’ll add your benefit onto this card every 4 weeks. You can use your card to buy:
- plain liquid cow’s milk
- fresh, frozen, and tinned fruit and vegetables
- fresh, dried, and tinned pulses
- infant formula milk based on cow’s milk
You can also use your card to collect:
- Healthy Start vitamins – these support you during pregnancy and breastfeeding
- vitamin drops for babies and young children – these are suitable from birth to 4 years old
To find out if you are eligible, please visit the website.
